The Foundry is the newest fine dining experience in Hartford. The menu and the location were exactly as expected... flawless! The A5 waygu was melt in your mouth delicious, and the views!! Looking forward to many more celebrations there, and i will update the review once I have experienced the Chefs tasting menu.
My fiancé and I were absolutely blown away with The Foundry as a whole. It was our first time here and we did the chefs tasting! From the staff, the atmosphere, the view, and most of all THE FOOD, it was just extraordinary! We will 100% be returning!
Wonderful tasting experience last night. First, the manager Dawn reached out to us 24 hours before service to ask if there's any modifications we needed to The tasting, which I thought was a beautiful touch. The progression of The tasting was lovely. Great winter flavors, The amuse of the carrot, curry and coconut soup was a wonderful way to start the tasting. Don't sleep on the caviar and zabaglione course! The perfectly executed tortellini and white truffles, could have had an endless bowl. We sat at the counter and all the chefs including Chef to cuisine Jesse Powers did a great job explaining all the dishes and it was magical to watch them plate and execute. If you're looking for experience, this is a great place to celebrate and or just have a a amazing meal in Hartford. We're excited to return.
My wife and I had a great experience! We booked a table before a show at the Bushnell and to celebrate us closing on a house. The staff made it an extra special night by asking up front if their was a special occasion we were visiting. We started with champagne and caviar. It was very delicious and the wife who doesn’t normally like caviar enjoyed it thoroughly. It was served on a toasted brioche with an egg based savory sauce. Try it! We had the duck and a spaghetti based dish. Both excellent. I highly recommend pairing the Back East Porter with the Coffee and Donuts dessert. It’s an espresso crème brûlée. The portions are small, but it lends to the overall fine dining experience! Looking forward to coming back and hitting the bar sometime, as the cocktails were superb 🍹!
Service Spectacular ! Atmosphere outstanding! Only down side is the Food way too small portions appetizers is only to feed a Kid!! Not enough I will only drink at the bar! Spent $245 and was still hungry! Me and my gf had to go straight to Cheesecake Factory to eat ! I thought it was me but both were hungry!! No way!
Where do I even start, the food, the atmosphere, the drinks, not to mention that sommelier they have on staff, oh how handsome! The food and drink list is carefully curated so you’re guaranteed for a spectacular evening. As a long time patron I must say the duck is an absolute must, although I was sad to see the lamb go. However, there is that oh so handsome young man, who is just so knowledgeable with wine, so a glass and a couple of glances at him ease my sorrows about the lamb. If you’re interested in a night on the town by yourself, the bar staff and fellow patrons are always so kind and friendly, and if you’re interested in a nice dinner, whether that’s date night or a business venture, you can’t go wrong here. If you’re interested in an even more intimate experience, sit at the chefs counter, you get to watch masters at their craft in action, not to mention, how they’re all so handsome! They also validate parking so that’s pretty cool, I’d give this place 6 stars if I could!
We informed our waiter of the celebration my family and I where having and my lord, did they not only go so far out of there way to ensure this night was one to remember, but there kindness and love could be felt the entire night. The night was to celebrate a second chance at life, and I truly couldn't have chosen a better place to do it at and better company to do such with (and this includes the waiters, chefs, and manager). They really went so far above and beyond to ensure we had the best night, and we truly did! I can't say enough amazing things. The food and drinks are EXCEPTIONAL! Everything on the menu was so incredibly good. You can truly taste the time and effort they put into every dish as it's top notch. The menu's (food and drinks) also change, so every time you go to The Foundry, you may be in for a new and exciting experience!
The Foundry is truly a gem. We arrived just before sunset, and the atmosphere was absolutely breathtaking — golden light spilling through the space created a warm, elegant vibe that set the tone for the night. We signed up for the 7 course “chefs dinner series” and were not disappointed! Chef Jeffery has done an incredible job curating both the menu and his staff. Every dish was balanced, flavorful, and beautifully presented — you can feel the passion behind the food. Head Chef Jessie and the kitchen team nailed it. Our service was outstanding from start to finish. Jimmy, our main server, was attentive and helpful without being overbearing. Jessica supported seamlessly as a sub server, and Dannah behind the bar made some of the best cocktails we’ve had in the area. It’s clear that every detail at The Foundry is intentional. This place is more than a restaurant — it’s an experience. Highly recommend!
The Foundry is a stunning restaurant with spectacular and slightly exotic food options. Everything was absolutely perfect the flavor, the presentation, and the cooking were spot on. The chef is truly outstanding. The place feels like a little gem from NYC, and I love that city vibe. The bar is phenomenal, and the servers are very polite and attentive. They’re always making sure your drink is full and that everything is perfect at your table. Highly recommended!
Came here on a solo dinner a few months back. I was in town from NYC for the NBA Hall of fame induction. This place crosses my mind often. Therefore, I felt the need to come back and write a 5 star review. I came here with a solo reservation, chef tasting. WOW! Everything about this place was very impressive. I Dine a lot in the city and this place by far was breathtaking from the views, the service, the decor and especially the ambience was amazing. This place gives NYC Chic in CT. The whole experience made me feel like I was in a Michelin restaurant in midtown. Keep up the excellent work team. You’re on your way to a star. Please ask for Jimmy, he really elevated my experience. XOXO
